At the Adult Care Center of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, we believe everyone deserves a place where they feel safe, valued, and connected. For more than 30 years, we have provided compassionate adult day healthcare to individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, developmental disabilities, and other conditions affecting memory, health, and independence.

Our Center offers a welcoming environment where participants can enjoy meaningful activities, build friendships, and receive individualized care while maintaining as much independence as possible.

Who Is Eligible to Participate?

Our adult day healthcare program serves adults ages 18 and older who benefit from daytime supervision, medical monitoring, social interaction, and structured activities.

Our participants may:

• Live with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia
• Have Parkinson’s disease or be recovering from a stroke
• Have developmental disabilities or other physical or cognitive challenges
• Require supervision or assistance with daily medications
• Need support with personal care or daily activities
• Be unable to remain home safely without supervision
• Benefit from a safe, supportive environment that encourages socialization and engagement

Our Adult Day Healthcare Services

We provide a combination of healthcare, personal assistance, and meaningful activities designed to support each participant’s physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Health & Personal Care

• Individualized care plans based on medical, health, and social needs
• Nursing monitoring and documentation
• Medication supervision

• Monthly monitoring of weight and vital signs
• Assistance with personal care and incontinence needs
