The beauty in a bright spring day, especially Easter Day is shown in this painting by portraying the vibrant and joyful colors found in an Easter basket. This painting started with a base coat of dark pink that was then painted over with a lighter shade of pink to add splashes of color and fun. Sharp tools were used to cut slits and marks into the dried paint to add the appearance of cracks, giving it character. To finish off this work of art, glitter was painted lightly over and only shows when the light hits the canvas, bringing more life and glow to this already abundantly joyful piece.
