#66 Tapestry

Acrylic Paint, Patterned Mesh

This gorgeous and unique work of art resembles a bright and bold tapestry that can be seen hanging on the wall to brighten any room it is placed in. This painting began with black being painted over the entire canvas, including the borders in order to be used as the base coat. Next, blue and red/maroon were painted in the top two sections to pop off the black, but also allowing the black to peak through slightly still. Mesh was pasted onto the canvas in order to add a unique pattern of texture that is absolutely beautiful with the gold paint being lightly stroked over top to really bring attention to this pattern.
